Peter Court OAM (Lieutenant Colonel)


Peter has been a long time member who has given our great service throughout the years.
Doing his bronze in 1977, Peter is currently a Long Service Member serving for several decades as our Honorary Solicitor.
His service to Coogee Surf Club is only part of his contribution to the community.
Peter’s involvement in many other organisations including;
The Randwick Coogee Amateur Swimming Club filling many positions, including President, since joining in 1965
Randwick District Rugby Union Football Club (RDRUFC) where he again served in many positions including President.
Randwick Rugby Club Limited holding several committee positions including President.
Presently serving as a board member on the Randwick Rugby Foundation.
He has served on the Wylies’s Bath Trust including his time as President, being involved since 1959.

Other organisations Peter has served are, Royal United Services Institute of NSW being a Council member since 1987.
Peter is a Committee Member of the Anzac Day Dawn Service Trust.
He was the recipient of the Australian Sports Medal in 2000 and the Australian Government Sports Achievement Award.

Simon Poidevin OAM
Simon has been awarded an OAM for his service to education through fundraising and student scholarship support, to the community through the not-for-profit sector and to rugby union.

Simon is a current active patrolling member of our club.
His service includes being a Board Member of the University of NSW (UNSW) Foundation since 1997.
Currently a Emeritus Member, Lexcen Sports Scholarship Committee, Co-Founder in 1988.
A Member of the NSW Appeal Committee, Australian Olympic Team Appeal since 2008.
Host of Sydney White Ribbon Walk, NSW Police.
In the sport of Rugby Union, since 2005 Simon has been Co-President of the Classic Wallabies.
He is an Ambassador of the Hearts in Union Charity.
Served as a Board Member of RDRUFC since 2012.
Patron of the Goulburn Rugby Club since 2000.
Australian Rugby representative from 1980 to 1991.
Captain of the Australian Wallabies in 1986 and 1987.

He holds the position of Managing Director, Corporate Stockbroking at Bell Financial Group.

Simon has received several awards and recognitions including Inductee Australian Rugby Hall of Fame in 2014

NSW Hall of Champions 1980
Centenary Medal 2003.
UNSW Alumni Award
Medal of the Order of Australia 1988
