SRU Sponsorship Agreement with Macquarie Bank

Sydney Rugby Union has negotiated an agreement with Macquarie Bank and our partnership will commence 25 July 2011.  This will provide much needed funding for the SRU with a $60,000 injection of funds into the competition.

Under the terms of the Agreement SRU will promote Macquarie Bank Platinum Visa Cards with incentives built in for Clubs to benefit financially from the partnership.  These benefits will be paid to Clubs quarterly, subject to us meeting some performance measures (minimum 100 activated cards, say 12 per Club). SRU incentive payments will enable us to build a financial base for the competition.

The benefits are attractive with SRU to receive $150.00 per activated account, of which $100.00 will go to the Club generating the account.  In addition to this any Club generating 100 active accounts will receive a bonus $5,000.00, escalating to $15,000.00 for 250 active accounts.  As an example;

There is clearly a good opportunity to grow Randwick Rugby Club revenue through this partnership and the involvement of all Clubs will assist in developing a long term relationship.

A further advantage as Cardholders, your members may choose to nominate the Club and direct reward points to the Club on redemption.
