Congratulations to Wicks' Toby Browne, selected for Country Gold

Country v Sydney Fixture has been put back on the representative calendar.

This will be the first time the match has been played since Rugby turned professional in 1996.

The match has been sanctioned by the NSW Rugby Union and will be played at Coogee Oval on Saturday, 11 June 2011.

The Country Team will play under the banner of Country Gold, and will include Country origin players.

The following Country origin players have been selected and have accepted the invitation to play in the Country Gold team:

 

  • Toby Brown - Randwick
  • Sam Carter - Sydney University
  • John Grant - Eastwood
  • Ben Matwjow - Northern Suburbs
  • Paddy Ryan - Sydney University
  • Henry Seavula - West Harbour
  • James Smith - Northern Suburbs
  • Nic White - Eastwood

 

The match has created a great deal of interest and it's hoped it will once again become a permanent fixture on the representative calendar.
