Michael Clarke, Australian cricket captain, has found room in his heart to also barrack for the famous Sydney rugby club Randwick.

Pup made the short trip from his Bondi pad to the Galloping Greens' Coogee club last night as a special guest of new president and good mate Anthony Bell.

Also there for the club's season launch - which came three days before the grudge match against Eastern Suburbs,  were a host of Randwick's Wallabies, including current duo Kurtley Beale and Rocky Elsom

Michael's message to the players was simple and heart-felt...."back yourself; If you are prepared to work harder than the fellow next to you and believe in your abilities there is no reason why you will not represent at the highest level". Michael fielded some googlies from Randwick's Club President Anthony Bell with deft and swift return and his batting was unparalleled engaging the enthusiastic crowd at Brook St who were quick to show their appreciation.

Michael was presented with the Number 23  Randwick Rugby Jersey at the Season Launch and the Randwick Rugby Licensed Club were also  honoured when Michael became holder of the Number 23 Membership.

Michael Clarke has promised the Randwick faithful he will attend this Saturday's game at Coogee Oval.
