Michael Clarke to Launch Season for Randwick Rugby Club

The RDRUFC President, Anthony Bell, is delighted to announce that newly appointed Australian Cricket Captain Michael Clarke has offered to open the 2011 season for Randwick.

Michael Clarke's skills as an inventive and creative on-field captain, an astute tactician and sound man manager will no doubt provide inspiration to the Randwick rugby players as they anticipate their first home game at Coogee Oval on 23 April.

Anthony Bell said "Randwick is one of the great brands of world rugby and it is with great pride and honour that we welcome Michael to the club; we look forward to his involvement in what promises to be a great night for the club.  The night will also be an opportunity for the club to recognise our sponsors and supporters for 2011."

The Randwick Rugby Club will also be welcoming past greats of Randwick and Australian rugby at the launch.
