RDRUFC AGM Press Release 2 March 2011

The Randwick District Rugby Union Football Club (RDRUFC) held its Annual General Meeting on Monday 28 February at Brook Street, Coogee.

The RDRUFC is pleased to announce that former player, Anthony Bell was elected unopposed as the new president of the Football Club in 2011, while Doug Eggins (Secretary) and Quentin Olde (Treasurer) were both re-elected unopposed in 2011.

The members  elected a new Council for 2011 including two former Wallabies - Simon Poidevin and Warwick Waugh.  Jon Collins, Michael Jorgensen and Chris Barron were all returned to the Council for 2011.

Anthony Bell said "Randwick is one of the great brands of world rugby and it is with great pride and honour that I accept the position as president at the club that gave me so much as a player. There is no doubt that all clubs have their challenges in the current environment, yet I look forward to joining an esteemed and highly credentialed board in driving the outcomes that the members and supporters have become accustomed to from Randwick."

Anthony Bell would like to acknowledge the services of former President of the Football Club Ian North who decided to stand down from the Board in 2011 after many years service.
