Randwick Juniors Rugby Sevens Tournament 2011

To celebrate the inclusion of Rugby Sevens in the 2016 Olympic Games, Randwick Junior Rugby Union
is hosting a Rugby Sevens tournament and is inviting either teams or individual players from the
ages of U13 to U16 to train with some of the great and legendary players from the Randwick Rugby Club,
followed by a 7 a side competition run over 3 consecutive Monday nights, starting from 28 February.
Teams can be formed by any group or association and may provide their own coach.  Independent coaches
may participate as assistant coaches and boys who are not in a Team will be randomly allocated to one
of the celebrity coaches who will compete against each other to produce the winning team in each age group.
Included in the notables who will train the boys are Mark Ella, Simon Poidevin, Craig Morrison, Kenny Wright,
Jeffrey Leonard Sayle, Jim Dubos and Tony Lewis (former All Black Sevens).

Details:
• Players can register as an individual, as part of a Club Team or form their own Team.
• Six teams per age group.
• Maximum 10 players per team.
• Competition format will be a round robin with points allocated and finals on Monday 14 March.
• 5 minute halves with a 30 second change over.
• ARU rules for Rugby Sevens tackle competition will apply.
• Entry fee $10 per player with a no pay no play rule.
• Prizes for each player of the winning teams.
• Registration cut off is 19 February.
• Pre – game training is at Latham on Monday 21 February from 5.00 pm.
• Round one and two will be played at Nagle with the final round and finals to be played at Latham.
This will be followed by the presentation to the winning Teams and a celebration barbeque.
