RANDWICK PLAYERS IN TAHS TRIAL

Tuesday, 01 February 2011 15:14

Randwick players named inTahs team for opening trial

The Tahs have named a strong team which will see Lachie Turner trialled in the No.13 jersey while Tom Carter and Ryan Cross will both have opportunities to impress at insidecentre but it is the back three that will excite Coogee faithful with new Randwick recruit Afa Pakalani, partnering Kurtley Beale and Drew Mitchell in the back three that has pace and skill to burn. The Randwick number 8 Ben Mowen will start the match on the side of the scrum after an impressive off season under strength and conditioning coach Tom Tombleson (the Randwick 1st grade winger) and Wycliff Palu makes his return almost ten months after suffering a severe knee injury against the Crusaders. The Randwick player of the year in 2010 Sekope Kepu gets the first chance in the No.1 jersey with Benn Robinson sitting out the match after suffering a slight calf strain. There will five Randwick players in the starting line up for the Tah’s while new recruit  Cam Jowitt has a foot injury but should be available within the next month.

The Coogee faithful are looking forward to watching the HSBC WARATAHS v FIJI WARRIORS on Friday 4 February 2011 at Sydney Football Stadium.
